Head Spa RP by UnicornsWhisper

This is a long, slow, and especially relaxing AMR video.    UnicornsWhisper (UW) has a lilting and pleasant voice with a Russian accent.   The best part is that she is consistent with her use of positive and peaceful language.  She doesn't talk about problems or ailments, but instead focuses on the effectiveness of the treatment and using positive visualizaton.  Sound quality is good (4/5).  ASMR effect is average. (3/5)  Relaxation quality is good (4/5)

Sleep inducing ASMR

Some good videos for getting to sleep:

More foreign language rambling

I like the rambling in foreign languages because it's not distracting - just a pleasant background sound.  These also have a better effect on my ASMR.

These videos are from whipserflower

More videos for sleep

(3/5) Soflywhispered ASMR - Fall Asleep Scalp Massage & Hair Brushing
  • Gentle and positive voice kept me relaxed and got me to sleep.  Some of the sounds were a little distracting and sound quality was average and monoral.
(5/5) Softlywhispered ASMR - Relaxing Eye Examination (Softly Spoken)
  • Awesome.   ASMR response is strong and extremely relaxing.  Sound quality is pretty good.  It's monoral, but did not really distract from this video.

Review of ASMR Sleep and Relaxation Videos

Here's a quick stack of links I pulled together for sleep and relaxation.  I generally use these videos to fall asleep.  Sometimes I'll watch part of the video, but most of the time I have my eyes closed, so my reviews are based mostly on what I hear and how well it relaxes and soothes to sleep.

The number in front of each review indicates my rating for how well the video accomplishes the task of relaxing me to sleep.  5 = Works effectively and quickly, 1 = doesn't work at all

  • [2/5 stars] Heather FeatherTrigger Fest for Relaxation and Sleep. 74 minutes
    • Description:    Heather sits at a desk and walks the user through a large number of ASMR props as she speaks quietly and sometimes jokes around.
    • Pros:
      • Heather is creative and highly focused on ASMR stimulus.  She takes her time with each particular prop.
    • Cons:
      • Voice is important to me and I find that her tends to be somewhat rambling and doesn't keep my attention.
      • If you care about camera work, Heather tends to sit below the camera which takes away from the stong presence I think is needed for ASMR videos.
      • An idea sleep induction is about 10-15 minutes, so this video is pretty long.
  •  [4/5 stars]  ASMRvelous: Guided Sleep Relaxation Version 1 (11 min), Version 2 (14 min)
    • Description:  Video of torso and arms only.   ASMRvelous makes continuous gentle movements with her arms as she speaks gently and soothingly, guiding a sleep relaxation.
    • Pros:
      • Soothing voice with positive affirmations.
      • Short and effective.  I was dozing off in just a few minutes and was able to relax completely.
      • Hand motions are ASMR inducing and soothing if you watch them.
    • Cons:
      • Sound is in mono and quality is poor with some background hiss.
  • [3/5 stars] AMRvelous: Therapist Roleplay #2 12 Minutes
    • Description:  Video of therapist sitting in a chair, hips, torso and arms.  ASMRvelous makes continuous gentle movements with her arms, using a folder prop, as she speaks gently and soothingly.  Her subject is 360 degree feedback.
    • Pros:
      • The video has some strong ASMR triggers thanks to the focus on the hands and the prop.
      • AMSRvelous' voice is very soothing and she always speaks positively
    • Cons:
      • Mono sound with a fair amount of hiss in the background.
      • I'm neutral about how well a therapy roleplay gets me to sleep.  It certainly is relaxing, but thinking about the subject matter tends to keep my brain awake.
